Drawing check: terms of service and data protection

Version of 31/10/2026. These terms apply to the drawing check offered in the customer area of chti-tech.eu (My account, My drawing reports).

The service

CHTI-TECH (EURL, Valenciennes, France) checks mechanical drawings (part, assembly, exploded view with its parts list) against drawing rules, with an artificial intelligence agent. Electrical diagrams and building plans are not covered.

The report lists the deviations found and the missing indications. It helps the review: it does not replace the checking of the drawing by a competent person, who remains responsible for the drawing.

Price and balance

  • Each check is paid from a prepaid balance, at the price shown before sending.
  • The balance is topped up by card. The payment goes through Stripe; CHTI-TECH neither sees nor keeps the card number.
  • The automatic top-up is optional: when a check brings the balance under the chosen budget, the saved card pays the chosen amount.
  • Each paid top-up is invoiced.
  • If a check fails, its price goes back to the balance.
  • The unused balance is not refundable. It remains available as long as the account exists.

Your drawings remain yours

The drawings sent and the reports remain your property. CHTI-TECH uses them only for the check asked for, shares them with nobody and does not use them to train an artificial intelligence model.

What happens to your drawing

  • The file is written to a temporary folder of our server for the time of the check, then deleted as soon as the check ends, whether it succeeds, fails or is interrupted.
  • It enters neither our database nor our backups. No annotated copy and no transcription of the drawing is kept.
  • To be read, the drawing is sent to Anthropic's Claude model, through its programming interface, in the United States. Anthropic keeps the data received for up to 30 days, then deletes it, and does not use it to train its models. This transfer outside the European Union is covered by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

What we keep

  • The report: its reference, the name of the file sent, the date, the number of pages, the findings and the price paid. It is kept as long as the account exists and deleted when the account is closed or on request.
  • The date on which you accepted these terms, recorded with each sending.
  • Your account and your invoices: name, email address, billing address. Invoices are kept for ten years, as the law requires.
  • The card saved for the automatic top-up is kept by Stripe; CHTI-TECH only knows its brand and last four digits. You can remove it at any time from your account.

Where the data is

The website and the service run on CHTI-TECH's servers, at Scaleway, in Paris, France. Only the reading of the drawing by Anthropic's model takes place outside the European Union.

Roles under the GDPR

  • For your account, your payments and your invoices, CHTI-TECH is the controller.
  • A drawing can carry personal data (name of the draughtsman or checker, address of a site). For this data, you are the controller and CHTI-TECH acts as processor, on your behalf, with two sub-processors: Scaleway (hosting) and Anthropic (reading of the drawing).

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its rectification, its erasure or its portability, by writing to sylvain@chti-tech.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Before each sending, the My drawing reports page asks you to accept these terms. A new version of these terms is dated at the top of this page.
